Giants 35 – 24 Jets
// October 7th, 2007 // New York Giants

A huge second half jump-started by Jeremy Shockey’s first touchdown since December 10th saw the Giants overcome a 24-14 deficit to win the battle of New York over the Jets.
The game wasn’t televised down here in Charm City, so I had to make do with the NFL Network’s intermittent updates. It looks like Eli Manning had a 0.00 passer rating in the first half, but ended up completing 13 of 25 passes for 186 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
The second touchdown pass was to Plaxico Burress who combined with Manning for a 53 yard toss and catch marked by a great stiff arm by Burress on Jets corner Andre Dyson which sealed the victory for the Giants.
Three wins in a row now for the Giants, and a trip to Atlanta for Monday Night Football is in the cards this week. The Falcons are struggling this year at 1-4, but always seem to play the Giants tough. This one is obviously on TV, so that makes five games out of the first six that I’ll get to watch.
